More Award Successes for Yorkon

In recognition of its pioneering work in off-site construction, and its ongoing commitment to design and innovation, Yorkon has won a number of prestigious new awards and accolades.

Constructing Excellence (North East) Awards 2009

Yorkon and Interserve Project Services received an award commendation (highly commended) in the Value category and were shortlisted in the Innovation category for the design and construction of the new Emergency Assessment Unit at North Tees Hospital.

Considerate Constructors Certification - Performance Beyond Compliance 2009

The Yorkon site at Newbridge-on-Wye Primary School in Wales was recognised with Considerate Constructors Beyond Compliance Certification, exceeding the scheme's code of practice in areas such as consideration, environment, cleanliness, safety and responsibility.

Innovative Product of the Year Award 2008

The new Yorkon high performance floor wins the Building Products Innovative Product of the Year Award.

Best Offsite Healthcare Project 2008

Yorkon's work with Interserve Project Services at the University Hospital of North Tees was recognised at the Offsite Construction Awards. Yorkon was also shortlisted in two other categories - Best Education Project for its new sixth form centre at Bewdley High School and Best Retail/Commercial Project for its work on a new superstore extension for Sainsbury's.

Building Better Healthcare Awards 2008

The Yorkon building system was highly commended in the Best Healthcare Construction Product Awards and shortlisted in the Best Ecological Product category.
