The Requirement

Air Liquide UK, one of the world’s leading suppliers and distributors of industrial and medical gases, had a requirement for a new office building to accommodate staff relocating from another site. 

The Solution

The scheme in Coleshill near Birmingham was completed just three months after start on site and a month ahead of programme.

The 630sqm offices were designed with the flexibility to accommodate a third storey to meet the company’s future requirements and expansion. The use of off-site construction ensured the building would be ready in time for the planned relocation.

The Yorkon approach reduced the impact of construction and any disruption to Air Liquide’s existing operations in adjacent buildings as much of the work took place off site in York.

The new air conditioned building comprises both open plan and cellular offices, reception, meeting room, kitchen area, stairway and lift. Features include a pitched roof and brickwork cladding to give the appearance of a traditionally-built building.
