Project Management is a complex business. With over 25 years’ experience in providing innovative schemes across a wide range of sectors, Yorkon has developed excellent skills in project management.
We’ll develop a fully detailed project programme and take care of the many details of your scheme. This means that you can enjoy a smooth building process and a project complete on time, on budget and to specification.
We can adopt the role of principal contractor or work with your own contractor.

To ensure your project runs smoothly, your programme will be handled by a dedicated Yorkon Project Manager. Acting as a single point of contact, your Yorkon Project Manager will liaise with you or your client and their project team.
Your Yorkon Project Manager will co-ordinate with your own design team and our own architects and deal with:
- The initial design.
- Design development.
- Agreeing the project programme.
- Managing the installation of foundations, external works and all subcontractors (including your own if required).
- Testing and comissioning.
- Agreeing the final account.
Once your design has been agreed, your Yorkon Project Manager will oversee all on-site and off-site activity.
How will I benefit from Yorkon Project Management?
- Risk assessments and method statement agreed in advance and monitored by site management. Ensuring that your programme runs smoothly and safely from the outset.

- Short line of communication – Your Yorkon Project Manager reports to the Operations Manager who reports to the Director and General Manager. Meaning tighter control and immediate decisions when required.
- Site waste management plans – Although off-site construction techniques minimise waste, any waste that is generated on site is dealt with using a site waste management plan. This reduces the need for land-fill and maximises recycling.
- Delivery – Delivery of modules is carried out to a predetermined plan. Close communication with the site is maintained so the vehicles are called in from an off-site holding area in the correct sequence, prior to cranage. Which means that you can expect minimal disruption with 90% fewer vehicle movements, a shorter programme and minimum disruption.
- A cleaner, safer site – Safety is paramount. Compared to HSE statistics on the safety of traditional construction methods, Yorkon solutions increase site safety by 46%.
- Rigorous Health and Safety standards – As part of the Yorkon site safety programme, we have internal H&S advisors and independent external H&S consultants carry out bi-weekly risk audits on our site.
- Testing and commissioning – For your complete peace of mind, Yorkon buildings are fully tested and commissioned in accordance with all relevant statutory criteria and Building Regulations.
This includes testing and commissioning of all mechanical and electrical systems, client demonstrations and teach-ins to appropriate client staff in terms system use, energy usage and monitoring, and assistance in the completion of the Building services log-book, as required by the Building Regulations. - Your building delivered on time and on budget - that's a promise.
